Father’s Feelings Communities of Learners

What Are Father's Feelings Communities of Learners?

OhioGuidestone’s Institute of Family and Community Impact’s Father’s Feelings Project team is on a mission! Our Father’s Feelings Communities of Learners provide professional development sessions for all the superhero professionals working with dads during the perinatal period—from the moment dads are expecting a baby until the child’s first birthday bash- we know dads have a place in this space!

These training sessions explore the vital role of dads during the perinatal period. We discuss how fathers can continue to support child development while also promoting and maintaining their own mental health and well-being. But wait, the Institute has more! Join a Community of Learners for a deep dive into real-world practices for serving fathers across our communities.

Father's Feelings Communities of Learners Are Accessible to All!

The Communities of Learners are accessible to everyone who works with fathers of infants, expectant mothers, and families within institutional or community settings (such as churches, schools, doctors’ offices, etc.). If you are interested in gaining insights on how to engage fathers in child and family affairs, connect them with appropriate and accessible services, and provide father-specific support, we invite you to join a Community of Learners!

By participating in a Community of Learners, you can connect with other professionals with like-minded passions for working with fathers and families. You will be able to share your own experiences while learning from others, gaining new knowledge and skills along the way that will better help you support the fathers and families you work with. These communities are designed to be collaborative, supportive, accessible, and inclusive.

We at the Institute welcome professionals from all backgrounds to come take a seat at the perinatal table! Whether you are a social worker, educator, healthcare provider, or community organizer, we believe that US & WE all have important roles in supporting fathers and families.

Our goal is to establish a network that identifies the health and personal needs of fathers with babies and connects them with appropriate and easily accessible services and organizations. Learn more about our virtual or in-person Communities of Learners opportunities.
